Hosts England and New Zealand have unveiled their 15-player squads for the world cup and there’s here’s what you need to know.

England

England has started us off and named their squad for the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup. Lead by Nat Sciver-Brunt England will look to win the coveted trophy on home soil. Charlotte Edwards who took over early last year has named a 15 player squad with new faces as well as some regular names creating an all rounded team.

Tilly Corteen-Coleman, Issy Wong and Lauren Filer all debut in this world cup with youngster Davina Perrin missing out on selection.

England recently had an internal camp across South Africa in prep for the world cup, to see the players battle it out for selection in inter-squad matches.

Vice Captain Charlie Dean is joined by seniors Lauren Bell, Alice Capsey, Sohpia Dunkley, Sophie Ecclestone, Dani Gibson, Freya Kemp, Heather Knight, Linsey Smith and playing in her 8th T20 world cup Danni Wyatt-Hodge.

England will have a T20 series with the New Zealand and India before the world cup. With the pressure on will England win it on home soil?

Looking to go back to back the White Ferns squad is here with 10 players from the 2024 squad making their way into the 2026 squad looking to defend their title.

Melie Kerr will lead the side with the extraordinary trio of Suzie Bates, Sophie Devine and Lea Tahuhu who are all retiring at the end of it.

Nensi Patel and Izzy Sharp are debuting at this world cup and will be joined by Flora Devonshire, Izzy Gaze, Maddy Green, Brooke Halliday, Bree Illing, Polly Inglis, Rosemary Mair, Georgia Plimmer and Jess Kerr

Coach Ben Sawyer has said that that “I believe we’ve landed on a well-balanced squad that features a mix of experience and exciting young talent”

A team that is currently on top form, will the White Ferns go for the double?
